INTERNAL TRANSFER CONDITIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
   


Foreign students can be eligible to make internal transfer to Akdeniz University provided that their department exists in Akdeniz University.

If their department exists in our university, abroad internal transfer conditions should be provided and quota should be opened.

Internal transfer quotas are declared in July for undergraduate programs and in February and July for associate degree programs.

Quotas will be published on the web page of the Students Affairs Directorate, as well as on the International Relations Office web page. 


REQUIREMENTS FOR  INTERNAL TRANSFER



  • For internal transfer, higher education institution that student want to go should be in a list of The Higher Education Council’s equivalent institutions and the diploma program that institute registered should be accepted by our university as an equivalent , to apply for transfer to an associate degree or bachelor's degree program.
  • The student, who will come through internal transfer, has to study at least one year except from foreign language preparatory class in the higher education instution, and in the program which the student will leave the student's cumulative grade point average must be 3.00 out of 4.00 or 80 out of 100. From the higher instution in which there is no exam at the end of first year, lateral transfer cannot be conducted.


DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR APPLICATIONS


Students should apply with their letters of application to the Akdeniz University faculty where they will study between the dates which will be published by Akdeniz University. On the application form, the name of their study programme should be written, and the following documents should be attached:

  • Transcript: A document which is supplied by applicant’s home educational institution which shows their grades. The transcript should be the original document, not a copy.
  • If the applicant has attended a preparatory class before, the applicant should attach the approved version of the certificate of their preparatory course.
  • A document which shows that applicant was not subject to any disciplinary measures.
  • An approved copy of the applicant’s certificate of examination results.
  • A document which shows that international students who wants to make internal transfer from evening education to formal education are should be in %10 of the success ranking  by the end of the academic year. 
  • Applicants who have come from a foreign country should attach documents related to their school system, including brochures, study plans and the grading systems of their schools.

Foreign students, who want to make internal transfer to Turkish Universities, should provide attached documents.

  • SAT 1 (Min. 1000 puan)
  • ACT (Min. 21 puan)
  • Abitur
  • French Baccalaureate
  • GCE A Level  Certificate (Minimum 2 courses)
  • International Baccalaureate IB
  • Austria Matura Diploma (Matura Reifezeugnis)
  • Italy Maturita Diploma (Diploma di Maturita)

 
EVALUATION OF THE APPLICATION


Preliminary evaluation for applications carry out by commissions that established by the relevant boards of directors in line with the principles set by the Senate.   

 
ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE RESULTS


Results of the internal transfer applications will be announced on the Student Affairs Directorate’s web page and the decision will be notified to students who are entitled to transfer.
