17th International Mediterranean Youth Festival (14-16 May 2014)

Dear Colleagues,

We have already started preparation for this year’s International Mediterranean Youth Festival, the 17th in series, which will take place from May 14th to 16th 2014. With the aim of bringing to life and sharing our artistic and cultural experiences in a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere, we hope to come together to add a new link in the chain, following on from previous years’ festivals which have established a tradition of being productive, vigorous and prosperous, and attracting young people from both Turkey and many other corners of the world. This year the theme of our festival is “Flower and Child”.

We look forward to receiving application forms (which can be found at the address: http://uio.akdeniz.edu.tr/international-activities) from student clubs and teams who wish to attend our festival and whose applications have been approved by their authorities (Rectorate etc.) Application forms should be filled and send to youthfestival@akdeniz.edu.tr   Applications should be received before April 1st 2014, and if applicants have any audio or visual materials to submit, these should be sent via e-mail or post.  After evaluation of the applications, the list of applicants who have been selected to take part will be announced on April 14th 2014. For the selected participants, two days of accommodation, food and drink, as well as transport within the city of Antalya will be provided by our university. Please note that participants should make their own travel arrangements to come to Antalya.

We look forward with great pleasure to welcoming the national and international participants to the 17th International Mediterranean Youth Festival. We would be grateful if you could pass this invitation on to your students clubs.

With best regards,

Prof. Dr. İsrafil Kurtcephe
